THE FUTURE DEVELOPER SUMMIT COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
The Quick Version
At all Future Developer Summit and SlashData’s Community events and activities, we want attendees, speakers, partners and organising team members to have an enjoyable knowledge sharing and networking experience.
Therefore, it is our commitment to create and maintain a safe and ethical environment for participants throughout all in-person and online events.
We ask all the participants and our community members to cooperate and act in accordance with the community guidelines. Misconduct will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the event and further ban from all community platforms and communication tools. Please report any experienced or observed harassment to the community admins and event organising team members directly or sending feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org.
By confirming your participation, you are invited to:
Not be a stranger
We require event participants and community members to use their real identity, and encourage you to introduce yourself by providing additional information about yourself, such as a short business casual bio. This will help others to get to know you better and enhance the transparency in a group.
Add value to community
The more you put into it, the more you get out of it. We encourage contributions by starting and participating in discussions and activities both hosted in-person as well as using digital community tools. Event participants and community members are welcome to interact, exchange experiences, ask questions and share useful resources on the dedicated discussion sections.
Such content, of course, should not be not solely self-promoting and should contain an objective value to other members. The organiser keeps the right to remove the postings that violate community guidelines.
Respect your tribe
We are aiming at maintaining a professional community of members who have a shared belief in, at all times, respectful and ethical behaviour. Harassing or derogatory comments are not tolerated within any in-person or digital activities and events.
That includes, but isn’t limited to: personal or public threats or attacks based on disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, or sexual orientation; abusive behavior; references to violence or sexual content; harassing photography or recording; publishing other’s private information, such as physical or electronic addresses, without explicit permission.
Remain considerate and take an action
SlashData and our community values diversity of people and ideas and encourages new perspectives. We believe that a spectrum of perspectives plays a crucial role in personal and collective development, and we expect that you do, too.
Your expertise, knowledge, and observations are the kinds of contributions we are looking for. Reasoned arguments, resources and professional insights might benefit other members and community discussions. The ask is to respectfully respond to ideas, not individuals.
Any inappropriate comments will be removed. The organiser reserves the right to remove those who don’t comply with the above guidelines.
Please support us by reporting any experienced or observed violation of the above community guidelines to the community admins and event organising team members directly or sending feedback to email@example.com.
